Lead Trainer – WEB DEVELOPMENT & SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS
Part time or full time (to be negotiated)
Functions:
The Lead trainer will work with the President in developing course curriculum and determining training requirements (material and software)
He/she will lead training and train all participants in the following areas:
(1) Fundamentals of Web Development
(2) Basic Web Site development and maintenance
(3) Webmastering
(4) Use of Microsoft Office Applications and other baseline software to be determined
Requirements:
Minimum of eight years of experience as a lead web developer using popular web technologies.
Experience as a technology trainer /instructor
Equivalent academic background or actual workplace experience at the level of a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
Exhibited high level of patience in helping trainee reach the required level of competency.
Strong references from past job positions.
Some fluency in conversational Spanish will be a plus.
Lead
Trainer – COMPUTER HARDWARE & NETWORKING

FUNCTIONS:
The Lead trainer will work with the President in developing course curriculum and determining training requirements (material and software)
He/she will lead training and train all participants in the following areas:
1) OEM computer assembly and installation
2) Computer upgrades (Hardware)
3) Computer upgrades (Software)
4) Basic Computer Security and Virus protection
5) Fundamentals of Technical Support (for Consumers, Small Business and Corporations}
6) Fundamentals of Networking
Requirements:
Experience in building PC’s from scratch
High level of understanding of the latest technologies supporting computer security and virus protection
Minimum of five years of experience as a lead technical support technician.
Sound understanding and proven experience in Computer Networking, minimally at the Small Business level.
Experience as a technology trainer /Instructor

Lead Trainer – WORKPLACE BEHAVIOR MODELING & MENTORING (WBM&M)

Position
Objectives:
Given the profile of students who will be taking the courses at the Light The Way Tech Learning Center this important position will provide training to all students who attend LTW-TLC.
The LTW-TLC philosophy is to take students as they are as long as they pass the minimal screening criteria.
Though the class atmosphere will be non-intimidating and the dress code relaxed, the objective is to help students make the transition from their current situation or behavioral attitudes to a high level of acceptability in the workplace.
Functions:
The Lead trainer will work with the President in developing course curriculum and determining training requirements (material and software)
He/she will lead training and train all participants in areas including:
1) Development of self esteem
2) Communications and Social interaction
3) Acceptable business behavior and dress codes
And provide ongoing mentoring during students first phase of employment
Requirements:
Must have a proven background in counseling and mentoring of young people within this age group.
He/she must understand the subtleties of handling, what may be at times, difficult individuals not predisposed to learning or working in a structured environment.
The rating of this trainer will be based on his/her level of retention of students and the ability to help them develop the positive behavior traits.
Strong references from past job positions.
Some fluency in conversational Spanish will be a plus.
Manager, Office and Facilities (Full time position)
Position
Objectives:
Full responsibility for the facilities and office operations and security
Functions:
Report directly to the president.
Work with the president in the setup of:-
Responsible for the physical day to operations of the center, including the areas specified above
Ensure only registered students and properly checked out applicants and business visitors and employees are admitted to the center.
Has responsibility for securing training and other equipment and material in the center.
Requirements:
Must have proven background working in a similar environment.
Must have fundamental technology experience and knowledge
Treasurer / Chief Financial Officer
(CFO) (full or part-time
– negotiable)
Functions:
Accountable to the Board as Treasurer. Reports directly to the President in the capacity as Chief Financial Officer.
General: Manages the board's review of, and action related to, the board's financial responsibilities. Works directly with accounting and office staff in developing and implementing financial procedures and systems.
Reports: Ensures that appropriate financial reports are made available to the board. Regularly reports to board on key financial events, trends, concerns, and assessment of fiscal health. Responsible for financial reporting to governing bodies: Federal, State and Local.
Prepares agendas for financial meetings, including a year-long calendar of issues.
Auditor: Recommends to the board whether the organization should have an audit. If so, selects and meets annually with the auditor in conjunction with the Finance and/or Audit Committees.
Cash Management : Ensures sound management and maximization of cash
Requirements:
CFO or Head Accountant in a similar size organization.
Experience working in or with a Non-Profit organization will be a plus.
